A Lighting Marathon
Our client set out to create something entirely unique for their latest entry into Bali's busy F&B scene and enlisted NuQu to help see their dream through to reality. Above at the exterior facade, just the entrance terrace required 90 decorative Edison globes installed in the marquee ceiling. We also designed and fabricated the decorative stained-glass arches there. Left, 240 pixel-dot RGB-W lights straddle the dance floor in the peak ceiling. All the ceilings on this floor are printed with back-lighting.

A Lotta Lights ...
From backlit ceilings and wall art to custom designed bathroom ceiling sconces and the usual complement of adjustable track lighting, over 500 lights was the final tally when all was said and done. And over 1 kilometer of linear strip light was employed to illuminate all of the intricate backlit panels that comprise so much of this venue's look.
DMX & Pixel Dots
On top of the moving head gobos and laser lights, we also opted for 120 pixel-dot RGB-W lights on each side of the upper floor's peak ceiling for an extra touch of automated lighting magic. All automated with integration of Advatek's PixLite control gear.

Main Floor Bar Bottle Shelf
Here we actually redesigned the bottle shelf when the original design was 'shelved' in favor of a more functional unit with lighting that illuminates the bottles to an appealing glow. The design had to accommodate wrapping around a central support pole for the glass stage positioned directly above.

A Light Show of its Own
The glass stage was fitted with 16 strings of RGB linear lighting, all integrated to work in sync, allowing for jaw dropping visuals in the center of the club space.

A Spectacular Climb to the Upper Floor
Another big lighting feature of the club is the grand staircase leading from the main to the upper floor. Special plates were fabricated to allow 2 rows of perforations per stair face and then back-lt with RGB pixel tape lighting, all fully automated to sync with the music or run on their own programming.

In The V.I.P.
Each area of the club presented its own challenges with this VIP room ending up with the indoor air-con system filling the entire ceiling. We needed to make several adjustments to our approach to accommodate this surprise but ultimately found a way to make this space quite intimate and enveloping.

Sublime Bathrooms
Bathrooms on both floors were intricate and visually stunning. We created special sconces for the vanity mirror lights on the upper floor that blend seamlessly into the recessed ceiling light shades making powder room visits here a memorable experience.

Wall Art
Two back-lit wall murals, one on each floor, with printed acrylic add a special touch to the feel of this venue. They required a deft touch to get the lighting right as there was very little void space allowed behind the acrylic panels.

Art Niche
On the second floor, a glass art display niche backed 2 large booth-seating areas spanning over 5 meters. We used special lenses on the downlights here to ensure only the statues were subtly highlighted while an RGB linear strip tucked away at the back of the ceiling allows for a variety of lighting moods to be created.

The Finish Line
Finally, after 2 months of planning, 5 months of installation and half a month of testing, we reached the completion of Theatre, a completely unique addition to Bali's nightlife scene.
All of the time and effort put into this project was so worth it. We worked night and day for several months to achieve the result but no regrets. This project prepared us to take on larger, more ambitious bar and club projects and we do look forward to seeing what comes next!
